Treat the visit as a one-off
A short transition visit may not need lunch or a full book bag. Check the arrival and collection arrangement. Do not turn visit-only supplies into a recurring school routine.
Keep the new instructions
After the visit, save the actual first-day packing guidance. Build the regular bag from those requirements rather than from assumptions about the old school.
