Ask about the next morning
The child may go straight to school, a club, or home. That changes the clothing and equipment needed. Keep the next-day bag separate from overnight belongings.
Use the host’s return check
Check borrowed bedding, the comfort item, and toiletries before leaving. Empty used clothing at home before calling the overnight bag ready again.
Keep this in your child’s bag list
Give the sleepover bag its own Carrylist list. Use routines for recurring gear and a one-off item for a dated extra.
